Receptionist

Role and Responsibilities

The receptionist is a vital part of the office team. The purpose of the receptionist is to help make sure that the clients are receiving the help from the qualified office personnel.

​

  • Greet clients and answer phone calls

  • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to: bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing, scanning, and filing.

  • Create and modify documents such as invoices, reports, memos, letters, and financial statements using word, processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or other presentation software such as Microsoft Office, Xero, or other programs

  • Assist with overall maintenance of the organization and its offices.

  • Ensure that the customers and applicants are treated with respect, dignity, and are responded to in a timely manner.

  • General cashier responsibilities to include but not limited to couniting money, creating invoices, and overall responsibility of the cash register

  • Assist and perform other duties as assigned

  • Help maintain a clean office environment

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently

  • Ability to deal effectively with phone and email inquiries

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines

  • Proficiency in Google Drive (Google Docs and Google Sheets, in particular)

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in customer service  

  • High School degree or equivalent
