Tax Preparer

$11.00 - $13.00 HR

Role and Responsibilities

To supervise the tax operations for the assigned office. Responsible for managing other agents and customer service representatives. The Tax Supervisor must ensure that the client’s concerns are addressed in a timely manner and resolve issues that may arise during the process.

 

  • Responsible for implementing sales & marketing plans

  • Prepare individual tax returns

  • Review and prepare financial records such as expenditure documents and income statements

  • Determine the proper forms needed to file the appropriate tax return

  • Maintain current expertise in current income tax laws and tax saving opportunities

  • Develop and help maintain customer relationships

  • May be required to stay after closing hours to finish reports and/or attend meetings

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines

  • Proficiency in Google Drive (Google Docs and Google Sheets, in particular)

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Training provided, however 1-2 years of experience is preferred

  • Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and State Requirements

  • PTIN Required
